Symptoms:
Especially suited to women, for their ailments during pregnancy, parturition and lactation (A.). Is fretful and easily displeased (Bell., Cham., Nux-V., Sulph.). Leucorrhoea: acrid, exhausting; preventing pregnancy (Alum., Calc-C., Carb-A., Nat-C., Nit-Ac.) (A.). LEUCORRHOEA IN LITTLE GIRLS (Calc., Cann-S., Cub., Merc., Merc-I-F., Puls., Senec., Sep.) (A.). Sensation of fulness and tension in the hypo-gastric region (D.). SHOULD BE USED DURING LABOUR, WHEN THE PAINS ARE INTERMITTENT, SHARP AND CRAMPY (Bell., Cupr., Mag-P., Puls.), AND APPEAR IN THE GROIN, BLADDER AND LOWER EXTREMITIES; THEY ARE SPASMODIC AND FLY FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER (D.). May be called for false labour pains during the last months of pregnancy (Gels., Mag-P., Nux-V., Puls., Sep.) (D.). Habitual abortion from uterine debility (Alet., Gels., Helon., Sep.) (A.). Spasmodic rigid as delays labour (Bell., Cupr., Sec.). (A.). Needle like pricking pains in the cervix (A.). Uterine haemorrhage, with a tremulous weakness felt over the entire body during the flow (G.). LABOUR PAINS: SHORT, IRREGULAR, SPASMODIC; TORMENTING, USELESS PAINS IN THE BEGINNING OF LABOUR (Act-R., Bell., Cupr., Gels., Mag-P., Nux-V., Puls., Sec., Sep., Vib.) (A.). Will correct deranged vitality and produce efficient pains, if symptoms agree (A.). After pains: after long, exhausting labour; spasmodic, across the lower abdomen; extend into the groins (A.). Haemorrhage, after hasty labour (Arn., Chin., Sec.); want of tonicity; passive; after abortion (Sec., Thlaspi). (A.). Sub-involution, after abortion or confinement (Cimic., Kali-Br., Puls., Sep., Sulph.) (C.). Prolapsus uteri (Abies-C., Alet., Calc-P., Helon., Lac-D., Nat-M., Sep.) (F.). RHEUMATISM OF THE SMALL JOINTS OF HANDS AND FEET, AND FLYING PAINS IN THE LIMBS. Painful stiffness of affected joints (Bell., Calc-F., Rhus-T.) (A.). Erratic pains changing place every few minutes (Ign., Lac-C., Puls.) (A.). Severe pains and swelling in the joints of wrists and fingers; shutting the hands produces severe pains (N.). "Moth spots" on the forehead, with leucorrhoea (C.). Frequent gulping up of sour, bitter fluid, with vertigo (Iris, Nux-V., Puls., Sep.) (C.). Lochia: protracted; great atony; passive oozing for days from relaxed vessels (Sec.).
AGGRAVATION:
During menses; in open air; from coffee; and from motion.
AMELIORATION:
From warmth.
RELATIONSHIP:
Compare: Act-S., Bell., Cimic., Gels., Ign., Kali-B., Lal-T., Mag-P., Puls., Sec., Sep., Thlas., and Vib. Caulophyllum is similar to Gelsemium in dysmenorrhoea and follows it well. Incompatible: Coffea.
